American Fluid Power – Machined and Cast Components American Fluid Power (http://www.amerfluidpower.com/) manufacturers tube bending and flaring machines right here in the United States. I’ve worked with AFP to reverse engineer many legacy components and assemblies. The images below are a few of the parts we have done. All of these parts were accurately measured and modeled from existing hardware and used to produce detailed engineered drawings to support manufacturing efforts.
Run into any antique hardware that’s missing pieces? 3D Printing to the rescue! These are a few small projects where we reverse engineered and used 3D printing to create parts out of Silver. These projects were done for for Stephen Visakay (http://visakay.com/), an antique expert, collector, and author. The process to create precious metal via 3D CAD file has become much more accessible in recent years thanks to websites like Shapeways, Sculpteo, and others. With a 3D CAD file in hand, you can simply upload the part and get instant pricing. The actual process for producing these parts is known as […]

Gun Guardian Firearm Safety Device
[dropcap]G[/dropcap]un Guardian is the patent-pending product of two law enforcement officers working to make firearms safer. Zalaco was contracted to develop a 3D models to demonstrate the mechanical functionality and usability. A metal sheath covers the trigger area is and is locked into place with the internal mechanism. After the user enters a code, the internal mechanism releases, rapidly retracting the sheath and exposing the trigger. To learn more about Gun Guardian, visit them here. Rendered Images
